A ring, a ruin, and one pale hand reaching

A hollowed creature crouched on black rock with its arm stretched toward a burning ring, skulls half-sunk in the marsh below it. Sealed in a wedge of clear epoxy on a solid wood base. Switch it on and the ring is the first thing that catches.

The story behind the scene

This is a fan tribute to The Lord of the Rings — the creature the ring hollowed out, and what it cost him.

Fan-made tribute piece, inspired by the books and films. Not an official or licensed product, and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Middle-earth Enterprises, the Tolkien Estate or Warner Bros.

How it's made

  • Hand-poured epoxy resin over a solid wood base — every pour sets differently, so no two are identical
  • Hand-painted figure suspended inside the resin, then sanded and polished to a glass finish
  • Four light colours — warm, white, blue, or a colour-changing mode
  • USB powered — plug into any adapter, laptop or power bank

Warm Amber, like firelight through the rock — the closest to the scene as it was painted
White Cold and clear, so the detail in the figure reads strongest
Blue Turns the marsh to deep water and the whole piece cold
Colour-changing Cycles through the range on a remote

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid direct sunlight for long periods — UV can yellow any epoxy over time. Do not submerge. Keep away from heat sources.

Good to know

Because every piece is poured and finished by hand, small variations in the wood grain, resin colour and bubble pattern are normal — they are the mark of a handmade object, not a defect.
